This year’s 130 submissions were completely over the top. The students worked hard creating many outstanding projects and we (the faculty) were working around the clock to make this year’s event another blockbuster!
The festival was made special by an exhibition of a virtual reality game (the kind of game that requires funny looking headgear) created by students in Alejandro Jauco’s and David Folker’s classes. The faculty and students worked tirelessly to engineer a system that uses game design and virtual reality (VR) linked with Internet of Things (IoT) devices. The VR/IoT game was also be showcased in this year’s Maker Faire in San Mateo.
Also noteworthy was this year’s video production and stop-motion category that includes videos students created in Merav Tzur’s and Mark Kitchell’s classes.
