Ohlone College is proud to announce it’s 17th Annual Multimedia and Graphic Arts Festival taking place on Wednesday, May 15th at 3:00pm on the Fremont campus of Ohlone College located at 43600 Mission Boulevard in Fremont, CA. The festival showcases some of tomorrow’s brightest multimedia artists and designers, and provides an open format for viewing their web designs, computer animations, interactive games, poster designs, illustrations and 3D models. Festival activities will take place in Hyman Hall, rooms 116 and 209 and will include food and beverages, digital entertainment, and a special awards program.
Student projects are evaluated and awarded prizes by the following industry professionals: Cinematographer / Director Craig Hickerson; Nate Oliver, Environment ATD – ILM xLab; Graphic Designer / Design Educator Katherine Lee, Graphic designer Mimi Heft and interface designer, Lauren Devine.
The Multimedia festival started in 2001 as a means of giving Ohlone College students the opportunity to present their best work to a wider audience. Since its debut, the festival has grown in size and scope and is now a forum for high caliber works of digital art including 3D renderings, 2D and 3D animation, web design, VR and video games, and graphic design projects. Over 100 students are expected to submit projects for review by this year’s jury who will select projects from 11 different categories to receive awards at the ceremony.
